Introducing My Kids

The following are photos of all but one of the students at the Bread of Life Academy at Kalapani. (I don't have a picture of Usha Sharma, because he has not been to school in a number of weeks) I work with these kids twice a week, teaching them about Jesus. I originally took these photos to help me memorize their names. Every time I've gone through the photos, learning their names, I have spent time praying for each one. I want to invite you to join me in praying for these precious little children. There are 52 students, including Usha Sharma. This is how it will work, choose a child whom you will pray for and then leave a comment stating which child you have chosen. Please be sure to check the comments to see which children are already being prayed for and choose one who doesn't yet have an individual praying for them. As I am able, I will update the post by changing the names of the children who have someone praying for them from white to purple.

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14b

Hi Pam - what a great idea. I would love to pray for Rita Marak - she's a cutie and I confess it's one name I won't have a hard time pronouncing or remembering.
Keep up the great work you are doing in India!!!

~Namaste~
Kindly, I would like to pray for Laxmi. Is her name pronounced "Lakshmi" or more like "Laksmi"?

I realize that I 'owe' you an email. So many things are vying for my attention right now, it's hard to sit still and give you the lowdown. It will happen soon, though. Mostly, I need to get through this semester.

More later.
Hugs,
G2

What a priviledge it is to pray for these precious children. My family will be praying for Iti Marak.

Deanna Denman...newly known as Mrs. Troy Wood has chosen to pray for Neha Thapa via facebook. She wasn't able to leave a comment on here so I'm just making all you prayer warriors aware.

Also via facebook but wishing to remain anonymous, Rahul Das is being prayed for.

Ivan picked out Nayan Chetri Sharma who he says is handsome. He also looks similar to one of our neighbors. Thanks for the privilege.

I'm not sure why the blog isn't letting some people post comments. Via Facebook Kim Haberstock has chosen to pray for Usha Sharma, the child without a picture. When she returns to school I will take a picture so I can post it.

Early Fri. morning I tried to say that I would pray for Pricilla Marak but it didn't get through and as she is still available, I still pick her. Love MOM

Neat. I will pray for Chetan KR Lama.

Also via facebook Heather Peine has chosen to pray for Elina Sangma and her roommate, Sammie, will pray for Sangita Tamang.

That's only 14 out of 49. There are still 35 kids who need someone to petition the Father on their behalf. If you're already praying please join me in praying that more people would step up to pray for these precious children.

Oops, I miscounted, there are actually 50 students. So that means that there are 36 kids without someone praying for them.

Pamela,

Thanks so much for asking me to pray for your kids. I think this is a great idea; I just might steal it when I go to Salvador! :) I would be happy to pray for Charlie. He reminds me of one of my students from Fannin (school where I student taught and subbed this year), and their names are the same, so that will help me remember!!

Heather

P.S. My plans are coming along well. I'm leaving on June 7. I still have some fundraising to do, but I have a visa and a place to live, and I'm just trusting God to provide everything I will need! Thanks for asking!

I remember Barnadath from Sunday school class. She wasn't finished her picture so I gave her a part of a crayon to take home and finish it. She put the crayon back with the other crayons. Either she didn't understand or she didn't think she should have something so special or maybe both.

Hey Pamela,
I'll be praying for Martin Sangma. Hope you're doing well in India, and I'm sure it's been amazing. It seems as if there's still some kids who haven't gotten a prayer partner or whatever yet, so if it's alright with you, could I pray over two kids? If so, I'll also be praying for Yoshoda Sharma. Either way.

Peace and love,
Mike Hamilton
